About 78 Hour Rain: Review, Story & Gameplay

78 Hour Rain is a first-person survival horror game about enduring three rain-soaked days inside a procedurally generated house. Three faceless intruders circle the property, enter through vulnerable routes, and punish poor preparation. Your objective is simple to state and difficult to achieve: stay alive for all 78 hours.

Turn the House into a Defense

Search rooms for supplies, set bear traps, and barricade doors before an attack begins. Darkness is dangerous, but flashlight power and safe positions are limited. The changing layout prevents one memorized route from solving every run, so listen for movement and adapt your defenses.

Survival Systems

  • Procedurally arranged rooms that change between attempts.
  • Bear traps, barricades, an axe, and throwable objects.
  • Three intruders with pressure from different directions.
  • A journal, inventory, timer, and flashlight to manage.
  • Flashing lights and intense audio; photosensitive players should use caution.

Wind traps and the timer before the house becomes chaotic. Keep one escape route open so your own barricades do not trap you with an intruder.
